ASFA Committees

To maintain and preserve the historical information of the ASFA. This includes sharing information to the Communique and the website.

Provide the ASFA ribbons/rosettes and medallions for the Regionals, as requested by the RD; Compile and provide annual awards for the Top Hound in each breed; Top Hound that is a member of each Breed club; and the #1 hound overall for the year.

The Communique’ is ASFA’s quarterly online magazine. We publish news, features, editorials, notices, historical articles, reports on events, reports from the ASFA officers, board members, and committee.

A committee to oversee any contracts in which the ASFA intends to enter; includes the different II contracts, ASFA employee contracts, or any ASFA contracts. This is to ensure the legality of the contract as well as the terms and conditions put forth for the ASFA.

Chaired by the ASFA CFO, this committee will oversee the Treasurer in his duties and will have the overall responsibility of the financial success of the ASFA.

Maintains the official version of all ASFA forms and publications, including the ASFA Running Rules, operation and administrative Policies, and the LCI rulebook. This committee ensures that the forms are updated and current with the rules. Provides and ships the duplicate copies of the Draw Order forms, Records Sheets, and the Judges forms for purchase to the clubs. Maintains the ASFA Store.

Responsible for ensuring the ASFA computer equipment is current and functional; additionally responsible for ASFA software such as Records Program.

Responsible for working with the AKC to find a mutually beneficial relationship

Oversees the Judges’ Licensing Chair; reviews the policies, rulebook, and the requirements (steps) for becoming a judge for updating and change. Judges Licensing is a separate individual tasked with maintaining the job of the licensing, subject to the Constitution, Running Rules, and Policies.

To look forward for opportunities to enhance the ASFA for more inclusion, activities, “out of-the box” ideas. This committee if future-thinking to help propel ASFA ahead.

Responsible for maintaining the member clubs, the club liaisons, ensuring current club dues are paid, sending quarterly updates to the internet liaison for publication on the website, assisting clubs through the process to become member clubs

**New Committee** Review and make recommendations as appropriate for breeds currently under provisional status to move to full status in accordance with Constitution Article 10, Section 4.

Members should have a thorough knowledge both of the Running Rules and the process by which they are changed. REC Chair bears primary responsibility for keeping a list of all Rules changes referred to the Committee by the Regional meetings and the Board, assigning Committee members to write drafts of those proposals that are not already formulated, and insuring that these are circulated to all members in a timely fashion.

Work with the webmaster to ensure updates are posted in a timely manner. Updates are received by the Internet Liaison from the Chairmen of the Committee requesting the updates. Answer questions submitted to the ASFA website. Interface between the ASFA Board of Directors and the ASFA website.
